Since the wedding date was determined last year, I have been constantly looking for suitable wedding banquet venues. Our priority for the wedding is the quality of the food, so we first considered The Garden Taipei, but since the day of our wedding is a popular choice, The Garden Taipei was already full. So we started looking at other banquet venues, including Ambassador Hotel Taipei, Sheratong Grand Taipei, Palais de Chine Hotel, LDC Hotel, etc., but with factors such as our limited budget or just plain unsatisfied with the venues itself, we couldn’t find any that satisfied our needs, until later I saw someone online recommending Great Skyview, a banquet associated with The Garden Taipei, where we then thought of visiting.

Because it was a sudden decision, our first visit was relatively rushed, but our receptionist Amber still patiently introduced the venue and environment. Although the venue was not fully completed at that time, you can clearly see that unlike others, there aren't any columns in the middle of the venue that may block the view. Not only does this design allow every guest to see the stage clearly, they wouldn’t feel oppressed with the columns around. In addition, not only was the bride’s exclusive lounge next to the banquet hall, the spacious and comfortable space with large floor-to-ceiling window made it even more pleasing for me - the bride. After two to three weeks of consideration, visits, and discussions, we finally selected Great Skyview as our wedding venue.

After confirming the venue for our wedding, came the busy preparation process. During this process, Amber, the wedding sales representative, was always patient when answering our questions as she always gave us honest and considerate suggestions based on her experiences and from our perspective. When we finished dish tasting with our elders, in addition to being satisfied with the restaurant’s cuisines and services, our receptionist changed from Amber, our wedding representative, to Angel, our wedding consultant and host of the wedding.

For me, who was always anxious about wedding preparation, became even more worried that our pace was too slow, especially the wedding videos. But since Angel confirmed a time to test out the film, it helped me finish the first version of the video all at once, or else I would be complaining to my husband about not having time to finish the video. It’s also because of every appointment and discussion with Angel, we were able to hold such a successful wedding in the end.
